Although i was never particularly close to them, they never fail to invite me along for group gatherings and dinner meet-ups. It's so hard to turn them down when they're so nice to offer. And the best part is, they never make you feel outta place.
So just as many times before, a dinner was arranged over email. The planning process usually takes forever (those who are familiar with planning large group outings will understand). And after many mnay emails exchanged, the date and time and place was finally fixed!
AMK for Seafood!!
I believe it was ave 2. Opposite Mayflower Sec.
I think it was the same place the M bought me before... The place renovated since the last time i was there. It use to be a coffee shop, and the seafood operated out of a corner stall. Now, it took over the whole coffee shop! With an indoor and alfresco sitting area. But the queue is still maddening long!!
I was surprised to hear that some people decided to meet early to go reserved seats for the rest of us! Meeting time was 630pm, with a high possibility of people being late. And these people went at 530pm to get us a table!!
Of cause at 630pm, the table was barely half full... There was barely 8 of us there... (the total attendance for the night was 18!) By 730pm the table was only 3/4 full... Well, you get the idea how ppl were streaming in..
The place was crazy packed as usual. It took the waitress almost 20mins to take my dink order (called her at least 3 times...) and another 15mins for the drinks to come! I think the cans were running around the store room and they had to catch them.... *roll eyes* Blah!
Food was served at almost 8pm!! Not cause our party was mostly late... but that was the waiting time for food... I was dying from hunger by that time... Everyone else too i bet!! Talking decreased as we dig in.
We had 3 different types of crab. A chili one, the been hoon soup one and a creamy butter one. I still prefer No Signboard chili crab... Don't fancy the creamy one... The soup one was not too bad. (it's suppose to be the dish they're famous for) And there was like 7 other various dishes...
I like eating in huge groups! Many many variety... I like...

The party proceed to find a place to chill for drinks and catch up.
Settled ourselves at AMK hub, Nebo (outside the cinema)

The usual catch up. Things we're doing now. What have we done. Things we use to do. Oh! and How we're gonna boycott R&C's wedding unless they show the F1 race on the big screen at their dinner!
"Wedding ang bao?? F1 tickets?? Hmm.... F1 tickets!!"
(hahaha.... kidding la... we're not THAT mean.)
It was great how very different people just so happen to end up in the same institution, were brought together by a common interest and sudden;y became friends.(hahaha.... kidding la... we're not THAT mean.)
And still, after so many year, despite choosing different routes, leading very different life. We can still manage to arrange a day, meet for dinner, and talk as if there was no time lag between us!
